The Federal Bar Association Maryland Chapter is proud to host its Annual Luncheon on Friday, April 11, 2025, bringing together members of the bench and bar for one of our most anticipated events of the year.

More than 250 guests are expected, including twelve judges of the United States District Court for the District of Maryland. This year’s program will honor retiring Magistrate Judge A. David Copperthite and welcome newly appointed District Judge Adam Abelson. Chief Judge George L. Russell III will deliver a remembrance of Judge Peter J. Messitte, celebrating his remarkable contributions to international law and the First Amendment.

We are also honored to feature a special conversation with Tony West, Chief Legal Officer at Uber and former Associate Attorney General of the United States, moderated by former District Judge George Hazel. Mark Saudek of Gallagher Evelius & Jones will serve as event moderator.

In addition to these distinguished speakers, the luncheon will highlight the Chapter’s achievements over the past year and reaffirm our commitment to defending the independence of the federal judiciary.
