Join the Federal Bar Association Maryland Chapter on Friday, June 13, 2025, for a special ceremony celebrating the admission of federal law clerks to the United States District Court for the District of Maryland and the United States Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit.

Chief Judge George L. Russell III will welcome the applicants and their families. Clerk of Court Catherine M. Stavlas will present the applicants for admission to the District Bar, and Chapter President Maria Salacuse will share remarks encouraging the new admittees to engage in the federal bar community. Federal Public Defender James Wyda will highlight the importance of the Rule of Law and move to admit clerks to the Bar of the Fourth Circuit, where Judge Paul V. Niemeyer will administer the oath. Chief Judge Russell will then administer the District Court oath.

The ceremony will be followed by a networking reception where attendees can connect with judges, practitioners, and new members of the bar.
